Graceland is ideally situated within 45 minutes of three major ski resorts, at the gateway to the Monongahela National Forest, a quick trip to Spruce Knob (the highest point in the state) and a short drive from three champoinship golf courses!
Area activities range from world class mountainbiking and whitewater, to leisurely nature walks and angling miles of pristine trout streams.
Guests also have easy access to many cultural activities and events offered throughout the year. Theatre comes alive at the Boiler House Theatre on the Davis & Elkins College campus and the Old Brick Playhouse, while shopping adventures offer visitors a chance to find one-of-a-kind gems at galleries like Artists at Work and MountainMade.
The Augusta Heritage Center, an affiliate of Davis & Elkins College, offers weeklong workshops in many folk-based activities like bluegrass music, blacksmithing, stained glass window making, and Celtic music. These workshops along with many other cultural and outdoor activities are why many visitors find themselves turning a weekend getaway into an annual vacation.
